Samsung announced the much-anticipated Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ yesterday in New York City. This is the first time Samsung has released multiple versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note phones.
Samsung’s Galaxy Note line has always known for the biggest and best the company has to offer, Notes were huge, and that gives you lots of room to fit tons of high-end specs and hardware features. The new Note 10 and larger Note 10+ follow the same trend — but in a surprising move and ditched the headphone jack.
The new Note 10 comes in three flavors this year, some without a microSD card slot but all without the headphone jack. What it lacks it makes up for with top-of-the-line specs featuring a gorgeous screen, speedy processor, three top-performing cameras, and a gorgeous display. Of course, you can’t forget about the S Pen which truly makes a Note a Note, and it has more features this year than ever before, and also there will be a 5G variant of Note 10+.
There are necessary cuts made in the smaller Note 10, dropping down the battery, reducing the max charging speed and removing the microSD card slot to fit in the compact body. But aside from a few small changes, you’re getting the same specs and hardware features with whichever one you choose. Note 10 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 in USA/China and it will be powered by Exynos 9825 in rest of the world.
The Note 10 starts at $949 and comes in just one configuration: 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Note 10 Plus starts at $1,099 with 12GB RAM / 256GB storage and you can spend $100 more to get 512GB of storage.
Note 10 Plus has a 4,300mAh battery and the smaller Note 10 uses a 3,500mAh battery — but it hasn’t done the testing yet to turn those capacities into battery life estimates. Both sizes are a step up from the 4,100mAh and 3,400mAh found in the S10 Plus and S10, respectively. Both phones also use standard USB PD for high-speed charging (in addition to wireless, of course), and the Note 10 Plus can work with adapters up to 45W (though the fast charger included with the phone is not nearly this powerful).
